Co-author

What an amazing ride that was, writing a chapter in a book, co-authored with 25 other women. The journey of doing so started with one purpose, however, to my delight ended in three positive purposes.

In the beginning, writing a chapter was about sharing a part of my mothering journey with other women who may have had similar experiences in losing their identity along the way. This seemed a fitting topic after throwing spaghetti at the walls in the form of many different topics from life, when it was decided with our Author’s guidance, that the story of our second son being born overseas and the roller coaster ride that entailed, would be the most relatable story for many women.

There was just a couple of weeks for me to write my chapter so it was all a bit crazy but I remember telling myself, I have been given the exact amount of time I need in order to achieve what I am here to contribute. I brainstormed onto paper my main points and learnings, all the while, trying to keep my writing under 4,000 words :)

This limit was good actually, as I could have added so much more to this past experience, however, having this restriction was helpful in sticking to the point which was to reassure women, there is no need for them to feel they are on their own throughout this journey of not only taking care of a newborn baby but also navigating through our own rebirth from women into motherhood. I don’t recall a manual or brochure on this, explaining what happens to our body, mind and soul on an emotional, chemical, physical and spiritual level. All of this just “happens” and we’re left, without the tools, to deal with it.

This has ignited my genuine passion to speak up, for, and alongside women who lose their identity during motherhood.

Rebel Ma is a packed book of stories from courageous and brave women, all here to speak up and guide and teach during this rising of the feminine.
For this experience, for Saoirse Connolly, the creator of Rebel Ma, I am forever grateful.

With great excitement, our book has now been released on Amazon as an e-book before the paperback is available for purchase.

Rebel Ma became an overnight best seller reaching #1 in the USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia, yes that’s right, number ONE International Best Seller!

Rebel Ma is defiantly worth a read. As I say, my chapter won’t resonate with all readers and many it will and this is absolutely okay, because, within this book there will be a chapter for everyone. Go order your copy on Amazon today and find the golden nuggets that are meant for you.
