The stories we tell ourselves…

For some, it’s before we say a big, fat, “yes” to an opportunity, for others it’s after, in the “what have I done?” after thought where we have the doubt and all of the stories we tell ourselves of why we shouldn’t. We allow the fear, not only in, but to take over.

A story can present itself another way, in tearing oneself down saying, wow! Imagine if I had used all of that time, energy and resources, on grabbing the opportunity of writing a book, back then, where would I be with it now? which brings with it guilt, regret and another knock to our confidence thus reducing the amount of times we say ‘yes’ to opportunities in the future.

It’s important to remind ourselves to be kind. The timing is divine and with our action comes the perfect amount of experience that is required in that moment.

You see, we will always be able to think of something to stop us, to delay us, to prevent us from feeling extreme amounts of joy and excitement, because, we don’t always feel we are worthy of such greatness.

I did say no, not once, but 3 times! to writing in any type of book.

The ripple effect of saying “Yes!” to, and for yourself, is a game changer. Give yourself the permission to tell yourself a new story, one of forgiveness and future, excitement and joy.
